Even in a lash vendor producing handmade fans, many types of handicrafted tools are used. They’re devided into group for each production process.

It varies from one lash vendor to another. At Sen Lash Factory Vietnam, We have 5 main steps:

Forming the fan lash
Rolling
Drying
Glueing
Packaging

Each needs specialized tools.

2. Tools used in the process of forming the fan by a typical lash vendor

Firstly, we’ll need a mold to form the lash fan. There are many molds for different specifications of lashes. For example, if you need varying lengths, such as 10mm and 11mm, you have to use different molds…
Secondly, we’ll need a good tweezer to take each fiber from its roll and place it precisely onto the mold.
Thirdly, you may notice that we’ll need something else, such as tape to fix all the fibers together on a strip, and a ruler to support that gesture.

3. Tools used in the process of Rolling

The purpose of rolling is to form the base and the curl of the lash fan. We’ll use:

A tube to form the curl. We’ll need to use a tube with the right diameter for the right curvature.
A ruler to fix the base of all the fans on a strip at the same time.
A piece of special papar to fix the tube, the paper together…
A sponge and water to flatten the paper

4. Tools used in the process of Drying

This steps, we mainly use a dryer…The purpose here is to fix the curl of the fan lashes by the heat…

5. Tools used in the process of Glueing

The purpose of gluing is to fix the base of the lash fan. The requirement here is to not add too much or too little glue on the base. it requires alot of skills and experience here. And the most important tools in this case is a brush. Using the brush with the right soft, right diameter…is essential here.

6. Tools used in the process of packaging

In this process, we’ll need to cut out the unexpected part on the strips, then put it into the box and add stickers before packing it into a clear bag or a carton. So we’ll need:

A tweezer to pickup the strips of lash, and add the stickers on each box/trays…
A ciscors to cut the strips (incase of making rapid fans)
A ruler to fix the lashes while removing the strip (in case of making loose fans)
