• Cons: It may cost more than individual volume lash trays, and the stems of the fans are pre-glued, which removes their ability to wrap around the natural lashes. Therefore, it is harder to achieve the same level of retention as with handmade fans. And since the form of the fans has already been pre-fixed, the lash artists can not adjust them in details like the length of the stem, how narrow or open the fan is, the density of the fans…

II. THE IMPROVEMENT ON BOTH LASHES AND GLUE

There have been many many effort to make the improvement in the lash industry with the born of many new products like: easy fan, YY lashes, adjusted premade… as well as the upgrade of glue.

1. Easy Fan

Over the years, more and more techniques for making volume fans have emerged. Lash producers have developed many properties to facilitate these techniques, making the fanning process easier. However, it seems easier for experienced artists and not much easier for beginners. Regardless of how much easier it becomes, it always takes more time and effort than using “ready-made” fans.

And since there are many fanning techniques, each type of easy fanning product is only for 1 or 2 techniques, so it’s not suitable for all. Last but not least, many easy fanning products on the market use soft-glue to forming the stem of the fans. This leads to “double glue” and minimize the ability to wrap. In other words, Easy fans just make the debate between “handmade fans” and “premade fans” less tense. it can’t resolve it 100%.

2. Glue for Promade Fans

As time goes by, we get to know more about the glue properties which can enhance to rentension. We know how to choose different glues with different viscosity, drying times, the flexibility… as well as master the way to control the suitable humidity and applying techniques. We found the glue suitable for promade fans lashes which bring a significant increase in the retension. However, it seems remaining as a big challenge for almost artists because it’s too complicated and unstable.

3. Adjusted Premade and Promade Fans lashes

At the begining of the promade fans lash era, There not much variety in the shape of it. Nowaday, manufacturers can adjust everything in details of the fan, from how narrow it is to the length of the stem. Although many different styles are created for new trends like Camelia, Wispy, Spikes…. but they can’t change the fact that premade and promade fans can’t wrap for a higher retension.
