Their Resemblance and Difference in details
Shape and Structure
Both Octopus Promade and Promade 3.0 have the shape of regular premade fans. Both are ready-made, with the form of the fans firmly fixed by a glue bond at the center of the fan. When you’re not holding them, each strand of the fan will not fall apart but will maintain its original shape without any deformation.
Both of them also tend to be narrower than regular premade fans, bringing them closer to handmade fans. However, the stem of Promade 3.0 seems to be slightly longer than that of Octopus Promade (3-4mm vs 2.8-3.5mm).
Signature Function
Both of them are able to wrap the natural lash during application. They were both developed in Vietnam but by different manufacturers. Octopus Promade was developed by Sen Lash Factory Vietnam, while Promade 3.0 was developed by PLA and transferred to LashBase and EnvoLash via franchising contracts.
Variety and Customization
Octopus Promade is created for OEM/ ODM/ Private Label/ Wholesales/ Vendoring service, allowing other lash brands to be able ask Sen Lash Factory to produce it under Customer’s Brand. LashBase can only sell their Promade 3.0 under their own brand name. In other words, Octopus promade seems to be an open sources for many lash brands worldwide.
Octopus Promade is customizable. The fan types can vary from regular fans to trendy Wispy, Camelia, and Spikes, while Promade 3.0 is narrowed down to regular fans only with no customizing option.
The fan styles and specifications offered by both are also different. While LashBase offers only 5D, 6D, 10D, and 12D, Sen Lash Factory Vietnam offers a full range from 2D to 14D with a wider variety of curvature, length, and thickness.
As for the packaging method, LashBase offers their 3.0 only in the form of ‘Fans in lines,’ with strips of lashes stuck on 28 half lines, for about 500-600 fans per box. It’s really suitable for the medium-high-end market segment. On the other hand, Sen Lash Factory offers their Octopus Promade in two different packaging methods: ‘Fans in lines’ and ‘Ultra Speed Fans,’ giving it the ability to fit well with different brands in various market segments.
